Forty percent of Democrats say it is not possible for them to like and respect someone who supports President Trump.

A ScottRasmussen.com national survey also found similar disdain among Republicans for those who oppose the president. Thirty-eight percent of GOP voters say it is not possible to like and respect someone who belongs to the anti-Trump resistance.

It’s important to recognize that most voters do not dismiss others because of their views about the president. Among all voters, just 21 percent say they cannot respect Trump supporters while 22 percent cannot support members of the resistance.
